Mostafizur Rahman applied to BCB for leave from cricket in December. It is known that his application has been initially approved.
Mostafiz is not playing Tests. This time, he took a leave from the ODI and T20 series of the West Indies tour in December to be with his wife who is expecting a child. Bangladesh's ODI series against Afghanistan will end tomorrow. After the series, Mustafiz will return to Dhaka on November 13. Sources in BCB's cricket management department said that Mustafiz's leave application has been initially approved. A selector of the national team told the daily newspaper, “We have discussed about Mustafiz's need for leave due to family reasons. The final decision will be taken after the announcement of the West Indies Test team.
Most of the members of the Bangladesh team will leave for the West Indies tour from Dubai. Test cricketers like Muminul-Taizul will join the team in Dubai. The first Test of the West Indies tour starts on November 22 and the second Test starts on November 30. ODI series starts on December 8, T20 series starts from December 16.
