Movement to topple government if reforms are not implemented: Nasiruddin Patwari

Nasiruddin Patwari, chief coordinator of Jatiya Nagrik Party (NCP) has warned of the movement to topple the government if the reforms are not implemented in the light of the verdict of the referendum. He said, if reforms are not implemented in Bangladesh, then we will move towards the movement to overthrow this government, Inshallah. We cannot mess with the blood of martyrs.

He said these things at the discussion meeting organized at Moulvibazar Zilla Parishad Auditorium on the initiative of Baralekha Upazila branch of 11 party unity on Sunday (June 28) afternoon.

Nasiruddin Patwari said that many mothers’ breasts have been empty in the last 17 years. Many fathers have lost their children. Among these oppressed parties were BNPO and Jamaat-e-Islami. We all had the same objective to overthrow the fascist system in Bangladesh. With this promise, we all entered the field unitedly. We forced Sheikh Hasina to flee from Bangladesh to India, the country of her grandparents.

But we had a reform agenda before the elections, he said. 11 groups have organized a program in every department of Bangladesh. We went to democracy and trusted the people. People have come to the polls. They cast two votes. One is the vote for radical changes in Bangladesh, the other is the vote for the appointment of public representatives.

Nasiruddin Patwari said that 75 percent of the country’s people voted in favor of a referendum for change and reform. But after the election, we saw that 75 percent of the people went against the people, and instead of implementing the verdict of the referendum, without going through the reform process, they defeated the government. That’s why he started walking in the opposite direction. We are 11 teams down on Rajpath. We have given programs in every department to drive away the ghosts that have possessed the government. In the future, there will be a mass meeting in Sylhet division.

He said Obaidul Quader said that if Sheikh Hasina falls, five lakh people will die if the Awami League government falls. We did not retaliate. We have said that there is a judiciary in Bangladesh. We believe in justice. You can hang without trial, but we are for trial. The tribunal has been constituted. Sheikh Hasina has been hanged. We are now waiting, when Sheikh Hasina will be brought to the country and the martyrs will be avenged by hanging her through the victory of the people. Awami League as a terrorist organization should be brought to justice before the people of Bangladesh.

This chief coordinator of NCP also said that after the popular uprising, we will walk towards an independent foreign policy. Our numerous freedom fighters gave their lives in 1971, gave in 90, gave in 24 for independent Bangladesh. They have written in blood on the streets, India, listen to me, Bangladesh has become independent and will remain independent in the future. Whatever you do, there are youths like us in Bangladesh. As long as we live, we will not bow down to you.

About the border situation, Nasiruddin Patwari said, Baralekha residents, you are at the border. Terrorist activities were carried out from India on the Baralekha border last night or the night before. You are a nation of heroes. You stopped the terrorists by standing on the border along with the BGB. Salute to you for this.

Baralekha Sadar Union Jamaat general secretary Zainal Uddin also spoke at the meeting, NCP Central Joint Member Secretary Pritam Das, Baralekha Upazila Jamaat former Amir Emadul Islam, Baralekha Upazila Jamaat Professional Association President Professor Mohaimin Saleh, Khilafat Majlis Moulvibazar District Branch Organizing Secretary MM Atiqur Rahman etc.

Earlier, the activists of the BNP organized in Baralekha town around the arrival of Nasiruddin Patwari. In the afternoon, when he went to offer Asr prayers at Baralekha central Jame Masjid, some protesters chanted ‘fake, fake’ while entering the city. Later, when the activists of the BNP organization tried to stop the movement of Nasiruddin’s convoy in Daksinbazar area of Baralekha-Kulaura road of Baralekha city, they were removed by the police.
