Mirage-roaches waiting to take the field, late toss

The second Test of the series between Bangladesh and West Indies was scheduled to start at 9 pm Bangladesh time at Sabina Park in Jamaica. However, due to continuous rain, the pitch and wicket are still wet and soft, so the time of toss has been delayed. The decision was taken by the field umpires after inspecting the field and wicket at 11 am local time (10 pm Bangladesh time).

According to local sources, it has been raining in Jamaica for the past week. It took time to prepare the field and the wicket as there was not much sunshine. As per the pre-announced time, Pakistani umpire Asif Yakub and Lankan umpire Kumar Dharmasena visited the ground in the morning. However, they found the wicket and surrounding areas a bit wet and soft. Considering this situation, the umpires discussed with the host and visiting teams and fixed 1 pm local time (11 pm Bangladesh time) for the next inspection of the field.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh trailed by 1-1 in the two-match series after losing the first Test in Antigua by 201 runs. The Jamaica Test is Bangladesh's last chance to save the series.
