Meeting of the family of martyr Abu Saeed with the chief advisor


Ramzan Ali and Abu Hossain, the two brothers of Martyr Abu Saeed in the July coup d'état, are the chief advisors of Professor Dr. Muhammad met with Yunus. Today, Wednesday, they met at the State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka.

Chief Adviser's press wing said, during the meeting, Ramzan Ali and Abu Hossain said, Dr. When Yunus addressed the United Nations General Assembly in New York about the sacrifice of Abu Saeed and other martyrs, Abu Saeed's family broke down in tears.

Ramzan Ali, the elder brother of Shaheed Abu Saeed, told Professor Yunus, 'We felt honored that you highlighted his heroic role in the revolution and visited us in our village in Rangpur a day after becoming the chief advisor.'

The two brothers were also present on stage today when the Chief Adviser of the Presidential Guard Regiment (PGR) was given a guard salute on stage.

During the meeting, they also informed about the creation of a foundation in the name of Shaheed Abu Saeed and expressed the hope of building a model mosque and a medical college in the village. They also said that an application has been made to two ministries for assistance in this matter.

“The foundation will work for the poor and those injured in the July-August mass uprising,” said younger brother Abu Hussain.

Professor Yunus assured all kinds of support for the family of Shaheed Abu Saeed. He said the interim government has ordered the police to speed up the investigation into the killings and ensure justice.

Professor Yunus said, 'Bangladesh will never forget what Shahid Abu Saeed did for the nation. His sacrifice played a major role in the mass uprising against the dictatorship.'

Promising to stand by Abu Saeed's family, the chief adviser said his door will always be open for them.

Abu Saeed, a student of Begum Rokeya University, was shot dead by the police on July 16. Professor Yunus met the parents of Abu Saeed in Rangpur on August 9, a day after taking charge as the chief adviser of the interim government. He also visited the grave of martyr Abu Saeed.
