Shirpur
BJP candidate won in Shirpur by a huge margin of 145944 votes. Though there were CPI(M) candidates in front of him, but the CPI(M) candidates lagged behind not only the BJP but also the independents. BJP's Kashiram Pawara defeated independent Jitendra Thakur. Budha Mala Pawara of CPI(M) stood third, getting only 10038 votes. Kashiram got 178073 votes and Jitendra Thakur got 32129 votes.
Kashiram is defeating Jitendra Thakur in three elections.
In the 2019 assembly elections also, Kashiram Pawara had won from Shirpur and defeated Jitendra Thakur. Even at that time Jitendra Thakur was in second place. However, in the last election he got more votes than this time. Kashiram Pawara was earlier in Congress and had won the election in 2014 on Congress ticket. Whereas Jitendra Thakur was in BJP then. This is the third consecutive time that Kashiram has defeated Jitendra Thakur.
Malegaon Central
The excitement continued till the counting of 25 rounds in Malegaon Central seat. Because there was a difference of only a few votes between the winner and the losing candidate. After the last round of counting, it was decided that Mufti Mohammad Ismail Abdul Khaliq would become MLA. Khaliq of AIMIM defeated Asif Sheikh Rasheed of Indian Secular Largest Assembly of Maharashtra by a margin of 162 votes. Khaliq got 109653 votes and Asif got 109491 votes.
AIMIM benefits from changing candidate
Malegaon Central seat was also won by Asaduddin Owaisi's AIMIM in the 2019 elections but he changed his candidate this time. Which benefited them. The party won at least one seat in Maharashtra.
