Kolkata Doctor Case: The statue of a trainee doctor who was murdered after being raped was installed in Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in the month of August. Meanwhile, media reports say that on Sunday (November 11), the statue of the victim of the RG Kar rape-murder case was broken into pieces at the Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.
The two statues were placed in the “Droho Gallery” as a symbol of the protest by junior doctors in the state demanding justice for the victim. In this, one statue was of a person in a doctor's uniform, while the other was of a person wearing a saree.

According to a Times of India report, the statue placed in the middle of the gallery was found lying on the ground by junior doctors on Sunday morning, with its face crushed. They were unsure whether it was an accident or deliberate sabotage. According to information, no police complaint has been lodged and the remaining statue has been removed from the gallery.
The trial against the accused is starting from today
The trial against Sanjay Roy, the main accused in this case, is going to start from today, November 11. He has been charged under sections 64, 66 and 103 (punishment for murder) of the Indian Judicial Code.
The protests by junior doctors have been going on since this incident on August 9. Their demand is that justice should be provided in the case and the government should take responsibility for the incident and accept their demands, which include increasing security, removal of some officers and investigation of hospitals in the state.
TMC criticized the protests
The ruling TMC has criticized the doctors' protests and alleged that other political players are also involved in it. Doctors should give priority to their profession before protests.
