WhatsApp, another platform from Meta, launched the 'typing indicator' feature for chatting. Through this, you can immediately see who is typing in a private chat or a group chat. When someone types, the profile picture with the three dots of WhatsApp will be seen floating. The feature will more clearly identify when users are actively engaged in chat.
Now it's easy to see who's actively engaged in a conversation by displaying a profile picture with three dots. The feature has been launched for both Android and iOS devices.
In a press release, WhatsApp said the feature will see a visual indicator like “…,” which will appear at the bottom of the chat screen and the profile picture of the user who is typing.
Especially, this feature will be very useful in group chats. Because if multiple users type together it will be easily identified.
Just like typing, the mic sign will show up in the chat if someone is giving a voice note. All these features make many chats more lively.
The feature was first reported to be rolling out in October and was only available to select beta testers at the time.

Along with the typing indicator, WhatsApp also launched the voice message transcription feature last month. It makes sending voice messages more convenient. As the name suggests, this feature converts voice messages sent by users to others into text. But only the recipient can see this transcription, the sender can't.
Recently Meta is bringing important new features to the messaging platform WhatsApp. The feature will facilitate direct sharing or forwarding of various messages, media and documents to other apps. A new option will be added at the bottom of the messaging app, so users can quickly share content to other apps. This will save users both time and effort.
This feature will improve the process of content sharing, allowing channel owners to send messages, images, videos and GIFs directly to their channels without the need to save and re-upload their media files on the phone.
