Junaid Ahmed Palak, who is sick on remand, is admitted to the hospital


Former State Minister Junaid Ahmed Palak, who is on remand in a murder case of Jatrabari Police Station of the capital, has been admitted to Dhaka Medical College (DMEC) due to his illness.

Palak was admitted to the hospital around 11:30 on Saturday (November 9) due to severe pain in his chest. Deputy Inspector (SI) of Jatrabari police station and investigation officer Mojahidur Rahman confirmed the matter. He said that Junaid Ahmed Palak was taken on 7-day remand from the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate's Court today in the case of the murder of Shakib, a student of anti-semitism student movement in Kajala, Jatrabari. He fell ill (chest pain) after going to the police station from Aladat in the afternoon. Later, around 8:30 PM, DM was brought to the hospital. After his initial examination he was first taken to the cardiology department. Later the doctor admitted to the medicine department for 12 hours observation.

The investigating officer of the case also said that Palak was remanded today for seven days in the murder case filed on September 10. However, he earlier completed the seven-day remand in another case and handed it over to the court today. However, this police officer could not say anything about the case. Earlier on August 14, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DB) arrested Junaid Ahmed Palak, the former state minister of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, while hiding from Nikunj residential area under Khilkhet police station of the capital. The next day, he was remanded for 10 days for the first time in the murder case of a rickshaw driver named Kamal Mia in Paltan of the capital. After that he was shown arrested in other cases as well.
