Jamaat held a protest rally demanding Hatirjheel police station free from terrorism, extortionists and encroachers and against Awami League's multifaceted conspiracy to destabilize the country. The protest was initiated by the party's Hatirjheel police station branch. The local leaders of Jamaat have given an ultimatum to make Hatirjheel area free from terrorism, extortionists and encroachers within the next 10 days from the rally.
On Friday (December 6) after Friday prayers, the procession started from the front of Moghbazar T&T Mosque and reached the Moghbazar junction via Nayatola. The procession then ends at the Madhubagh field through the wireless rail gate.
In a brief meeting, Dhaka Metropolitan North Publicity and Media Secretary Mu. Ataur Rahman Sarkar said, 'Although the Awami-Bakshali fell in the face of the united revolution of the students, their ghosts are still active in the Moghbazar area. They continued unbridled terror, anarchy, extortion and usurpation. But the people will not allow these atrocities of the fallen dictators to continue. Within the next 10 days, all terrorism, extortion and encroachment should be stopped in Hatirjheel area and those involved should be arrested. Otherwise the conscious public will not sit at home and watch the joke.'
Under the chairmanship of Hatirjheel East Police Station Amir Advocate Zillur Rahman and Hatirjheel West Police Station Amir Yusuf Ali Mollah, the gathering was attended by Dhaka Metropolitan Majlis members Nurul Islam Akand, Rashedul Islam, Jamaat leader Golam Mawla, Aktar Hossain, Dr. Anwarul Haque, student camp leader Fazlur Rahman, Sajjad Shihab and Nadeem etc.
