Calling upon the leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami to form public opinion for the upcoming elections, the vice-emir of the party, Prof. Mujibur Rahman said, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has worked to create golden people before, now it wants to work to create a golden country. If the people give that opportunity, then under the leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami, Sonar Bangladesh will be formed. There will be no culture of discrimination, discord, violence, oppression, torture, injustice.
He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the Jamaat-e-Islami workers' conference at Shahjahanpur police station in the capital on Friday (December 6). The conference was held at Shahjahanpur Maitri Sangh ground.
Naib Amir said, 'The students did not give their life and blood for the change of power. The students gave their life and blood to form the people's government through an acceptable election by making necessary reforms in the state. Therefore, elections without reforms will not fulfill the expectations of the students.
Mujibur Rahman said, 'Reform first then elections; Student Pledge. But some are jumping to the polls before the reform. No matter how many leaps are made, elections cannot be held before reforms.'
He said, 'In the last 15 years, Awami League has not given any appointment to the general public except party people. These appointees helped Sheikh Hasina to hold power. The people dismissed the Awami League and formed an interim government. One of the responsibilities of this government is to expel corrupt people from the administration.
Mujibur Rahman also said, 'In 1971, the people of this country fought the freedom war to get rid of the discrimination between East Pakistan and West Pakistan. But the independent country was not free from discrimination for the past 53 years. Just two years after independence, the father established Bakshal, the daughter established fascism in that style.
'Because human beings make mistakes, there are also mistakes in human-made laws. That is why man-made laws do not and will not bring peace. Establishing God's law is necessary for peace.' He mentioned.
