Indigo Airline's online passenger service system became operational after about 6 hours (around 6 pm). Today (October 5) the airline's system was down at around 12:00 noon.
The airline shared a post on social media platform X and said, 'Our airport systems are now operational and our airport services have also become smooth. However, we request you to support us while we restore our other applications.
Although it may take some time to get back to full normalcy, we look forward to providing you with a seamless experience soon. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

People got upset due to increase in crowd at the airport
During this period, people were not able to book and check-in airline tickets online. Flight operations and ground services at airports were also affected. Due to this, long queues of passengers were seen at airports across the country. Information was given about the problem by the airline, but due to no alternative arrangements being made for the passengers, they were waiting at the airports for hours.

Indigo told- problem due to system slowdown The airline had said, 'We are currently experiencing temporary system slowdown in our network. Due to which our website and booking system is being affected. As a result, customers may face increased waiting times, including slow check-in and long queues at airports.
Our airport teams are dedicated to assisting everyone and providing a smooth journey. Don't worry, we are working quickly to fix the system as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.

3 months ago crores of computers running on Microsoft were down
Three months ago, due to a software update by American anti-virus company CrowdStrike, millions of computers running on Microsoft operating system across the world came to a standstill. Due to this, essential services like airports, flights, trains, hospitals, banks, restaurants, digital payments, stock exchanges, TV channels and supermarkets were stopped all over the world. The maximum impact was seen at the airport.
3% i.e. about 4,295 flights had to be canceled worldwide. In America alone, 1100 flights were canceled and 1700 were delayed. In India, huge crowds were seen at major airports of the country including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru.

Flight operations around the world were affected after a glitch in Microsoft systems. Then people were stuck at the airport for hours.
