Home Minister at ‘Global Fraud Summit’ in Vienna


Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed participated in the opening session of ‘Global Fraud Summit-2026’ in Vienna, Austria.

The summit was jointly organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and Interpol on March 16 and 17 in Vienna, the capital of Austria.

Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmad left Dhaka for Vienna on Sunday (March 15) afternoon to participate in the summit.

The minister is leading a five-member Bangladesh delegation to the summit to be held at the Vienna International Conference Centre.

Along with the inaugural and plenary sessions of the summit, the Home Minister is participating as a panelist in the high-level roundtable meeting on ‘Global Fraud Response Mechanism’ and the high-level special session on ‘National Commitments/Pledges on Combating Fraud’.

Besides, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmad will hold a bilateral meeting with UNODC Executive Director John Brandolino and UK Home Office Minister of State RT Han Lord Hanson as part of the sideline event.

After the summit, the home minister will return to Dhaka on a Turkish Airlines flight at around 5:30 am on March 20.
