In Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, the police has revealed the incident of murder of a girlfriend, keeping her body in a box and then burning it. The entire matter came to light after the police arrested a colorful retired railwayman who, despite having two wives, kept a third woman as his wife.
An important thing came to light in the revelations that after killing the woman with an axe, the accused kept the dead body hidden for several days. After about a week, he got a blue box and wood from his son and burnt the body in the box. The police have sent the accused involved in the incident and his wife and son to jail.
SSP gave this information on the matter
Giving information regarding the incident, SSP BBGTS Murthy said that on Saturday (January 17) night, on the information of the taxi driver, the police had recovered a blue colored box from the house located in the Kotwali area, in which some bones and pieces of the dead body were recovered.
The retired railway employee’s wife Geeta and son Nitin present at the spot were taken into custody and interrogated. Wife Geeta told that her husband Ram Singh is retired from Railways, she is his second wife. Ram Singh had kept a woman named Preeti as his third wife in a rented house in Brahmanagar of Sipri Bazaar.
Woman used to demand money
The woman continuously demanded money and was also in contact with another man. One day both of them drank alcohol in this rented house and had a fight over having an affair with another person. Due to a dispute, on January 8, her husband killed Preeti by hitting her on the head with an axe, and hid the body in the house.
After this he made a plan to dispose of the dead body and asked for a big box from his son. The body was kept in a box, wood was added and it was burnt. Then the box was kept in a loading taxi and brought to another house, when the taxi driver became suspicious and informed the police and the matter was caught.
According to the police, accused Ram Singh had absconded after the murder and wanted to commit suicide by jumping into the river. In the police records, the woman has been described as the third wife, while the local people are calling her his girlfriend.
