New Delhi. The whole country is angry after the dastardly act of Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir. Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of the Indian cricket team, believes that no cricket match should be played between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attacks. It was being talked about the ICC event and Asia Cup match.
Team India coach Gambhir spoke about the matches played between the two countries at the ABP event. He said that both rival countries should not play against each other until terrorism is stopped across the border. He said, “My personal answer is not at all. Until all this (cross -border terrorism), there should be nothing between India and Pakistan.”
On 22 April, 26 tourists were killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam in southern Kashmir. In response to this, the Indian government announced to take many tough steps. It was decided by the government to suspend the Indus Water Treaty with immediate effect. The important decision includes closing crossings on the attic land border etc.
Gambhir said, “It is finally the decision of the government whether we play them or not. I have said before. Any cricket match or any other conversation is not more important than the lives of Indian soldiers and citizens. Matches will continue, movies will continue, singers will continue to perform but nothing comes close to the pain of losing any loved one in his family.”
