Ericsson Antenna System (EAS) is planning to localize its passive antenna's entire production for the Indian market by June. Telecom equipment manufacturer gave this information today. This work will be done in collaboration with VVDN Technology.
The company of Stockholm said that in addition to meeting domestic needs, a large number of antenna manufactured antenna will be exported in India. She will make India a strategic center under its global supply chain. Antenna sends and receives electrical magnetic radio waves between circulatory devices and the telecommunications equipment is important components in the price chain.
In addition to tower and roofs, antenna is often installed or hidden in places such as streets pillars and signboards to create cellular network. These networks make mobile communication, data transfer and internet access comfortable since the start of 5G in India.
EAS chief Michael Ericsson said in a statement, “Antenna is important in Ericsson and serve as an entry into the network's better performance and innovation.” By expanding in India, our capacity will be strengthened so that we will be able to provide state -of -the -art technology with speed where our customers are creating the next generation network.
Ericsson has partnered with the three private sector telecom operators – Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea (V) to supply commercial 5G equipment. The company has been in India for more than 120 years and started in 1903 with a supply of manual switches to the Government of India. In 1994, Ericsson became the first telecom company to manufacture in India.
