Legal adviser Asif Nazrul said, those who participated in the exchange of views said that time should be taken to prepare a document by consensus, no haste should be done, and no undue delay should be done. Some have suggested that a committee should be formed to discuss this objective in an organized manner. He said, 'All proposals will be actively considered and a decision will be taken quickly.'
He said these things after the all-party meeting at Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Thursday (January 16).
Asif Nazrul said, 'How much time can be taken for the declaration has been discussed. However, efforts are being made to avoid undue delay and waste of time. Everyone agreed that such a document should be prepared after more intensive discussions on the basis of consensus. Everyone expressed optimism that we will succeed in this process. The meeting ended with the optimism that through unbreakable national unity during the mass uprising, we brought down the fascist genocidal dictatorial government — we can all formulate the narrative of that unity in unison.'
In response to the questions of the journalists, the legal adviser said, “No distance has been created between the political parties. There have been differing opinions on just what process will be discussed. We welcome different opinions. We see no tone of disunity anywhere. Rather, everyone can work together, so that everyone's opinion is reflected, we think – it will strengthen the unity.'
Asif Nazrul also said, 'There can be further discussion on this, there can be a committee, there can be a bilateral discussion. We will actively consider them and decide a strategy based on their suggestions.'
