New Delhi. Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran has been awarded the honorary 'Knighthood' by Britain for his services in Britain-India trade relations. The Tata group said on Friday that Chandrashekaran has been awarded the 'most outstanding order (civilian section) of the British Empire – Honorary DBE/KBE' (Warrior or Dame Commander). The group said on the social media platform 'X' that Chandrasekaran was awarded the honorary nighthud degree by Raja Charles to contribute to 'Britain-India trade relations'.

On this honor, Chandrasekaran said, “The Tata group is proud that it has maintained such a strong strategic relationship with Britain in technology, consumer, hotels, steel, chemicals and vehicle areas.” He said, “We are proud of our prestigious British brands like Jaguar Land Rover and Tetley. We are employing more than 70,000 people in Britain.
