Kerala Assembly passes resolution against holding simultaneous elections in the country

The Kerala Assembly has passed a resolution appealing to the Central Government to withdraw the 'One Nation, One Election' reform. One Nation-One Election has been described as undemocratic and harmful for the federal structure of the country. State Parliamentary Affairs Minister MB Rajesh presented the proposal on behalf of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Rajesh claimed that the move was an attempt to implement the agenda of RSS and BJP.
Pune Porsche Case- 2 members of Juvenile Board who granted bail to minor accused removed

The Maharashtra government has terminated the services of two Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) members in the matter of granting bail to a minor accused in the Pune Porsche accident case. The panel of the state Women and Child Development Department had recommended action against two members, L N Danawade and Kavita Thorat, for lapses, misconduct and non-compliance with norms.
The state government issued a notification on October 8 saying that the investigation has found both of them guilty of misusing the powers given in the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act-2015. The Government considers it appropriate to terminate the appointment of both the members.

A huge amount of weapons recovered in Manipur in 3 days, army and police jointly conducted the operation

Security forces on Wednesday recovered a huge cache of weapons in Champhai Hills of Imphal East district in Manipur. Police said that an operation was conducted in different parts of Manipur in which a huge quantity of arms and ammunition was seized in the last three days. Police said they seized M-16 rifle, 22 rifles, 2 SLRs, country-made Sten guns, 2 carbines, 8 pistols, 12 mortars and 30 magazines from Champhai.
In another operation in Luwangshangbam area, security forces recovered two 32 bore pistols, one 9 mm pistol and other items. A similar operation was also conducted in Khelakhong and Gelbung villages of Bishnupur district. Where they seized AK-47 rifle, a 12 bore single barrel rifle, 5 detonators and two and a half kilogram IED.
