The hearing on the appeal of Jamaat -e -Islami ATM Azharul Islam has been concluded against the death sentence in the crimes against humanity. The Appellate Division will decide on May 25. Chief Justice said on Thursday. Appeal was heard on the full appeal bench of the judge led by Syed Rifat Ahmed.

Lawyer Mohammad Shishir Monir heard on behalf of ATM Azha. At the hearing, he said, “The International Crimes Tribunal was arranged. Amendment of the law, the formation of the tribunal was all planned. Jamaat leaders have been hanged by injustice in the name of justice. The subject has come up in the book Broken Dream written by former Chief Justice SK Sinha. '

The International Crimes Tribunal sentenced ATM Azharul Islam to death on December 7 in the case of crimes against humanity. The Appellate Division upheld the death sentence on October 7, when appealed against it. The petition was then filed in the Appellate Division on July 7, 2012, seeking the verdict.

After hearing the review application on February 25, the Appellate Division granted Leave (Appeal Permission). The appeal was then heard.
