We will also demand from the LG that till the final draft on this issue is prepared, he should allow the appointment of bus marshals in buses as before.
Delhi's Urban Development Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said in this regard that CM Atishi told that the issue of permanent appointment of bus marshals is under the Central Government under Services. Until the central government makes a policy, the Delhi government will deploy 10 thousand marshals in buses.

With this decision of Delhi government, youth from poor families will get employment and women will be able to feel safe again in buses. Whatever policy LG Saheb or the Central Government makes for bus marshals, whether they are reinstated or they are appointed to permanent jobs, Delhi Government will pay their entire salaries.
The issue of appointment is under LG
Now the Delhi government has decided that bus marshals will be deployed in the war against pollution for the coming 4 months. In this context, the Transport Commissioner has shared in his note that appointing bus marshals permanently or temporarily is an issue of services, which comes under LG Saheb. This is also an issue of security. This issue also comes under LG Saheb.
CM Atishi said, “All the ministers of Delhi government will send a proposal to LG Saheb regarding making bus marshals permanent. On the basis of the proposal, he should make a policy to appoint marshals permanently in buses as soon as possible. So that two They can be deployed in every bus in shifts so that women can feel safe in DTC buses.
CM Atishi also said, “We will send a proposal to LG Saheb that the 10 thousand bus marshals who were deployed on duty in the buses till 31 October 2023, should be deployed as marshals in the buses with immediate effect. They will be deployed in the buses till then. Stay, until his permanent appointment is made so that the safety of the women of Delhi remains safe.”
What is the whole matter?
According to Saurabh Bhardwaj, CM Atishi said that ever since the Aam Aadmi Party government was formed in Delhi in 2015, many important steps have been taken by the elected government of Delhi regarding the safety of women.
In this series, marshals were deployed to stop indecent behavior with women in DTC buses. Since 2015, marshals were appointed in DTC buses in two shifts for the safety of women, elderly and children, but from 2023, BJP through its officers worked to disrupt this scheme of bus marshals. First, the salaries of the bus marshals were stopped from April 2023 and then from October 2023, all the bus marshals were removed from their jobs.
LG and BJP betrayed
Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj also said that the proposal for reinstatement of bus marshals was passed with the consent of everyone in the Delhi Assembly. On October 3, all the MLAs of Aam Aadmi Party and BJP will go to LG Saheb. The entire cabinet of Delhi will go to LG Saheb and the paper will have to be signed, but not a single BJP MLA reached there.
Vijendra Gupta asked for time on October 5, after which the Chief Minister gave time. CM Atishi And Vijendra Gupta came to meet LG. There Vijendra Gupta and LG Saheb cheated ten thousand seven hundred bus marshals. He did not sign that proposal. When Vijendra Gupta came out of LG House, he said in the media that LG Saheb has accepted the proposal of Delhi government and the bus marshals will be reinstated within a week. Everyone has this on record.
It's been 5th October to 5th November and that proposal has not been accepted. On the contrary, LG Saheb made another U-turn and said that the Cabinet should send him the proposal again. After which the proposal was discussed again. Additional Chief Secretary, who is the head of the Transport Department, wrote the same thing in noting that this matter is directly related to services and public order, which is under the LG Saheb.
