Arab leaders have begun to argue about the formation of a Palestinian state

The focus is on the two-state solution to the conflict between Palestine and Israel. To this end, Arab leaders attending an Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, took part in a meeting on Monday.

According to a report by Al Jazeera, the leaders are discussing the creation of a Palestinian state in addition to ending the ongoing conflict in Lebanon and other countries in the Middle East at the conference held in Riyadh. Discussions are also ongoing on how to convince the international community to resolve the issues.

Earlier in October last year, Arab leaders united in Riyadh to end the Gaza war and establish a Palestinian state in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Later, another conference on this issue was announced in November last year.

In a statement regarding this year's conference, it has been said that, besides putting pressure on the international community to take effective measures to stop this attack, ways to restore a sustainable peace in the Middle East are being discussed. Nigerian President Bola Tinubu and Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikatimah are also scheduled to attend the conference, along with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

“We reject Israel's genocide against Palestinians,” Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said in a speech at the conference's opening ceremony.

Meanwhile, Israel has once again dismissed the demand for the establishment of a Palestinian state through a two-state solution. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar has commented on the creation of a Palestinian state as an unrealistic goal. He said, 'I think it is not a realistic matter at present. We must be realistic. If the Palestinian state is established, it will be the state of Hamas.
