During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways of cooperation and partnership to maximize the added value of phosphate ore, through the expansion of phosphate fertilizers and phosphoric acid, within the framework of the third axis of the ministry's strategy, which focuses on developing mining industries and converting materials into added value products.
Minister Badawi praised the Ministry's efforts to stimulate investment in mining industries, stressing that it is a pillar to achieve a qualitative shift in the sector, and in support of Egypt towards becoming a regional center for mining industries. He also pointed to the Ministry's keenness to diversify investments and support the participation of private sector, while providing an attractive investment environment.
The minister stressed that the ministry is proceeding to maximize the benefit of phosphate ore through the development of mining industries to achieve a higher added value and ensure that phosphate is not exploited in raw, in order to achieve optimal benefit from mining resources in Egypt.
The proposals of the Polly Service Group were also reviewed to increase investments in the value -added maximum projects of phosphate, as coordination was approved with the Mineral Resources Authority to discuss cooperation opportunities in this field.
