Arab Finance – Economy of the Suez Canal laid the foundation stone for the Tregas project for filling and producing gas cylinders in heat


Arab Finance: Walid Jamal Al -Din, Chairman of the General Authority witnessed For the economic zone of the Suez CanalThe basis of the cornerstone of the project of the project to fill and manufacture the composite and manufactured liquefied cylinders from the “Tregas” glass fibers in the industrial zone in Sokhna, within the scope of the industrial developer (the Egyptian -Chinese joint company/ the main development company), which will be held on an area of ​​10.4 thousand square meters, with a total investment cost 14 million euros, equivalent to 310 million Egyptian pounds, in two phases; Where the first stage aims to build a factory for the manufacture and packaging of compound LNG cylinders, with a production capacity of 500 thousand cylinders annually, using advanced technology in accordance with international standards, with the transfer and localization of technology and the construction of the necessary infrastructure, and the provision of 250 direct job opportunities, in addition to the second stage of the project that aims to establish lines of collecting gas compression organizations and valves for cylinders manufactured in the first stage, at a cost Investment of 7 million euros, with the aim of localizing the technology of manufacturing these supplies.

This project is a founding of an industrial vision, based on deepening local industrialization, relying on advanced technology and resettling, and meeting the requirements of global markets, which contributes to supporting the national economy and enhancing its competitiveness regionally and globally.

Walid Jamal Al -Din added that the philosophy of the economic zone of the Suez Canal depends on providing an attractive investment environment that is not limited to providing lands or infrastructure only, but also includes building an integrated system that provides international quality services, works to facilitate procedures, provide competitive incentives, and guarantees logistical linking between projects and global markets.

For his part, Evan Yolk, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Cairo, expressed his happiness with this cooperation and stressed that there are more opportunities to cooperate with the Czech investments and the economic zone of the Suez Canal, and the price of efforts made by the economic zone to encourage its investors to export and reach various markets, and also expressed his admiration that the Tregas project seeks to be a regional player in the field of manufacturing composite oil gas cylinders.

It is worth noting that this project represents a partnership between the Egyptian Tregas company and the Czech company HPC Research, with the participation of a number of local companies, including starting projects, Petrojas, and Botagasco, as well as the contribution of private investors from the private sector, with the aim of transferring and localizing the technology of manufacturing cylinders to Egypt, including the design and production of equipment and information technology systems (MES), while adhering to international quality standards (ISO 11119-3).
