Arab Finance: Engineer Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, made a field visit to the company's sites Petrosh In the Western Sahara, to follow the progress of productive operations and excavation work, as part of the Ministry's strategy to support exploration and production activities.
The company’s officials reviewed their plan to raise production from 9500 to 11 thousand barrels per day by the end of this year, while the minister stressed the importance of adhering to occupational safety and health standards.
The minister also inspected the excavation work in one of the developmental wells, and discussed with workers ways to accelerate production. It was directed to accelerate the start of operations in the West Amer area in the Eastern Desert to start in September 2025 instead of January 2026, with the aim of enhancing local production and reducing import.
