Students’ union protests in the capital to protest the abuse of women and children


Bangladesh Chhatra Union held a protest rally in Pallavi of the capital to protest the continued rape and murder of women and children across the country and to demand justice for the culprits. In this program held on Thursday (May 21), the central leaders of the organization strongly criticized the government and demanded to ensure public safety.

Bangladesh Students Union Vice President Salman Rahat presided over the protest rally. General secretary of the organization Bahauddin Shubo presided over the rally. At this time, the Secretary of the Union Parliament School Student Affairs Rakibul Hasan Sujan and Education and Research Affairs Secretary Enamul Hasan Anoy and other leaders spoke.

In the rally, Salman Rahat said, ‘The main responsibility of the government is to ensure the safety of people’s lives and property. But the current government has completely failed to ensure public safety. As a result, mob culture and horrific incidents of women and children abuse are happening again and again.

Salman Rahat also said that the people involved in these crimes should be immediately prosecuted. The Home Minister who failed to ensure the safety of women, children and common people should resign with responsibility.

At one stage of the speech, Salman Rahat said that if the students and common people of this country take to the streets, change will come. If the failure of the government continues, the people will respond to it through a mass movement.
