Expressing concern over the law and order situation in the country, Nurul Haque Noor, president of the Public Rights Council and former VP of Dakshu, said, “The joint force that I can see recently, extortionists, terrorists, mafia needs to be taken down. If the joint force conducts the campaign on the basis of clear information, in our opinion, this situation may improve. '
He made the remarks at a meeting with journalists at the Chittagong Press Club on Sunday (July 7).
Nurul Haque Noor said, “There is no public representative at the local level. There is no upazila chairman. No City Corporation Councilor. Who will do their work? UNO doing! The UNO went to such a team, and the team pulled the team. The effect is, we are people of mass uprising. This is happening because there is no elected representative today. That is why we were saying, to give local elections before the national elections. '
Noor said there will be no political party called Awami League in the future.
Referring to the country of religious harmony, Bangladesh said, “The religious culture of our country seems to be in very few countries. Here we live in Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim union, shoulder to shoulder. Yet after August 5, minority torture was done in the country, land grab, houses were vandalized and raped. But that didn't happen around us. '
