'Move' from China to Apple, the iPhone for the United States will be made in India

Apple is planning to remove all the iPhones from China to India for sale in the United States. The company is about to make this change in the wake of the decision to impose high tariffs on US President Donald Trump.

According to a Financial Times report, the company wants to make the 5 million iPhone from India for sale in the US market. This change will start from next year.

Most of the production has been in China since the iPhone came to market in the 21st. However, Apple started production in India from the 21st. In late 2021, the company said they would make 100 million iPhones in India within three years in conjunction with the suppliers such as Foxconn and Tata. In order to achieve the new goal, an additional 10 million units will be produced in India.

Meanwhile, the United States government announced the imposition of up to 5 percent on Chinese electronics products earlier this month. However, there are some discounts for smartphones and computers. Yet uncertainty has created uncertainty in global electronics production.

India currently has a tariff at a rate of 5 percent. However, it is expected that one day gras will reach up to 20 percent when a grace period is completed. This is because Trump has previously commented on India as 'customs abuser' and 'king of duty'.

The Financial Times also said that last March, Apple sent a $ 2 billion iPhone in India to the United States, so that the product could be imported before the new tariff on China came into effect.

While the Trump administration is the main purpose of returning production in the United States, experts say that it is almost impossible in the electronics industry.

Due to the relatively low production costs in China, many international technology makers have set up factories there. The country has long been considered as one of the centers of world market electronics products for low wages, readily available raw materials and advanced supply.

However, analysts believe the recent high tariff decision could have a huge impact on the electronics industry. According to them, due to this extra tax, the US market is likely to increase the prices of different types of electronics, not just the iPhone.
