After the change of the political pot of Bangladesh on August 5, Jamaat-e-Islami, one of the partners of this change, faced great anger. This anger has spread in the whole country because of the Amir of Jamaat's blasphemous comments about the constitution of Bangladesh. The successors of the members of the drafting committee of the constitution of Bangladesh have appeared publicly. Jamaat's Amir Shafiqur Rahman recently said, “The constitution of Bangladesh was written sitting on the soil of India, demanding to change the constitution in the current climate in the country.” Therefore, this constitution did not find Bangladesh as its homeland. He demanded the drafting of a new constitution and said that if necessary experts from abroad should be called and a suitable constitution of Bangladesh should be drafted.

After this, on Saturday, a statement from the families of the members of the draft constitution making committee of Bangladesh said, 'The constitution of Bangladesh has been written on the soil of this independent sovereign country. And there are still four people alive in the constitution drafting committee. They are – Dr. Kamal Hossain, Barrister Ameer Ul Islam, Professor Abu Syed and Abdul Muttakim Chowdhury.

This statement was given on behalf of the families of the members of the Draft Constitution Drafting Committee by Barrister Sarah Hossain (Daughter of Constitution Maker Dr. Kamal Hossain), Tania Ameer (Daughter of Constitution Maker Amir-ul Islam), Nasreen Islam (Daughter of Constitution Maker Late Prof. Nurul Islam Chowdhury), Mainur Rahman (Son of late Constitution Maker Hafez Habibur Rahman), Masood Akand (Son of Constitution Maker Late AK Mosharraf Hossain Akand), Nasreen (Daughter of Constitution Maker Late Prof. Md. Khorshed Alam), Doctor Mainul Islam Chowdhury (Son of Constitution Maker Late Prof. Islam Chowdhury) , Anisur Rahman (son of Constitution Maker Late Sheikh Abdur Rahman), Dewan Aftabul Alam (son of Constitution Maker Late Dewan Abul Abbas).

The family members of the Bangladesh Constitution Drafting Committee said, 'The Constitution of Bangladesh written in the blood of lakhs of martyrs contains the ideals and philosophy of the Great Liberation War. The Government issued the Constituent Assembly Order on 23 March 1972 for the purpose of framing the Constitution of Bangladesh. The Constituent Assembly was the sole function of framing the constitution for Bangladesh. With the issuance of this order, the formal work of drafting the constitution began.

In the statement, the family members of the draft constitution drafting committee also said that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was elected as the leader of the parliamentary party in the Constituent Assembly. On April 11, 1972, for the formulation of the constitution of the newly independent Bangladesh. A committee of 34 members was formed under the leadership of Kamal Hussain.

The members of the Bangladesh Constitution Drafting Committee worked day and night to reflect the dreams and aspirations of the people and wrote the constitution of independent sovereign Bangladesh. After long discussions and debates, the Constituent Assembly passed the Constituent Assembly on November 4, 1972 on the soil of independent sovereign Bangladesh. The Constitution came into force on the first Victory Day, 16 December 1972.
