The Constitution Reform Commission has recommended a bipartisan Parliament to prevent power in the hands of one person. Though thinking about the type of upper house is different, the main proposal agrees to most parties including BNP, Jamaat, NCP. But the AB party disagreed. The party thinks that the political environment suitable for the bipartisan legislature is not in Bangladesh. At the same time, the party has voted for the presidential election in direct vote of the people.
The AB Party submitted an opinion on March 7 to the National consensus commission. The party has agreed to 12 out of the three proposals of the Constitution Reform Commission, disagree on 5 proposals and partially agreed in 12. The AB Party has advocated the use of 'Pluralism', the English terminology of pluralism in the principle of the Constitution.
The National Committee Commission will hold dialogue with the party on Monday with the opinion of the AB party. Through this, the Commission has started a second phase of dialogue with the political parties.
In the first phase, the National Unity Commission held dialogue with the LDP, Khilafat Majlis, Labor Party and the state reform movement before Eid. After the Eid holidays, the members of the Commission will hold talks with the AB party at the LD of the Jatiya Sangsad at 9pm today.

The National consensus commission sent four recommendations to the constitution, electoral system, corruption, judiciary and public administration reform proposal to 4 political parties on March 7. The AB Party opposes direct elections in the 4 women seats in favor of coordination at a proportional rate on a priority basis. The Constitution Reform Commission has proposed in favor of the election in the electoral college system. Disagreeing with the matter, the party has proposed to be elected to the post of President by a direct vote of the people.
