BNP standing committee member Salahuddin Ahmed demanded the roadmap of the elections in December this year. He said, 'There is still misleading talk about the elections. It is said that December to June, it is said again, June to December. We want to announce the roadmap of the election in December. Islam has agreed with our demands. '
BNP standing committee member Salahuddin Ahmed made the demand at a press conference at the party's chairperson's office in Gulshan on Saturday night. Earlier, the BNP met with custody Islam.
Demanding the trial of the Awami League for crimes against humanity and genocide, Salahuddin said, “The Awami League should be tried for genocide and crimes against humanity.” The Awami League can be tried in accordance with Article 5 of the Constitution. The people of this country will accept what will happen in justice. The number of international crime tribunals should be increased if necessary. The International Crimes Tribunal can be done in each category. '
“We want reform, we want justice,” he said while addressing the details of the meeting with custody. But it will be in a democratic way. The chief adviser has repeatedly said that the elections will be held in December. But there is still misleading talk about the election. It is said that December to June, it is said again, June to December. We want to announce the roadmap of the election in December. Islam has agreed with our demands. '
BNP leader Salahuddin called on the interim government to withdraw all cases against the leaders and activists of the custody of Islam at the press conference. Stating that various issues have been exchanged with custody, Salahuddin Ahmed said, “The past fascist government has been tortured in various ways. The number of those who was martyred at Shapala Square on May 7, has not been determined so far. The case has been filed by custody seeking the trial of the Shapala Square. They (custody) want justice for that case. We agree with them. In the same way, the scholars of the scholars were killed in 2021, so that 20 scholars and students were killed in Chittagong and Brahmanbaria. The murder also wants custody, with whom we have agreed. '
During the last fascist period, numerous false cases have been filed against the scholars, filled with jail and unlimited torture. We want to withdraw all false cases against the custody leaders and activists.
Asked if the BNP's electoral alliance was worried with custody, Salahuddin said, “Let the election come … will wait till then.”
