Former Jamaat leader Barrister Razzak is returning to the country


Barrister Abdur Razzak, former Assistant Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami, is returning to Bangladesh with his wife from London. He will stay in the country from now on. Barrister Golam Azam gave this information at 6:30 pm London time on Wednesday (December 25).

He said that Barrister Razzak left London's Heathrow Airport for Dhaka on a Kuwait Airways flight. He will reach the country on Thursday (December 26).

Barrister Razzak is living in UK as of 18th December 2013. In 2019, he resigned from Jamaat and came to the discussion. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2020. Since then, this veteran lawyer was under treatment at the Royal London Hospital. He was the lead counsel for the accused at the International Criminal Tribunal for Bangladesh.

It is known that Barrister Razzak went to Britain for education at the end of the seventies. Received British Bar at Law (Barrister) in 1980. He was engaged in the legal profession in London until November 1985. In December 1985, he returned to the country to engage himself in the legal profession in Bangladesh. Thirty years later, he returned to Britain and joined the legal profession.

Barrister Razzaq is the father of two sons and a daughter. Both sons obtained the British Bar at Law from London. In London, Abdur Razzaq lived with his wife in a house in East London. His village home is Shekhlal village of Mathiura union in Biyanibazar upazila of Sylhet.
