BNP's march towards the Indian High Commission stopped at Rampura due to police obstruction. A delegation later left for the Indian High Commission to present the memorandum.
Today, Sunday at 11:30 am, the march started in front of the BNP central office in Nayapaltan of the capital. The march was supposed to end at the Indian Embassy. They will give the memorandum there.
The program was organized by three affiliated organizations of BNP to protest the attack on the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh in Agartala, the desecration of the national flag of Bangladesh and Indian propaganda. The organizations are – Youth Dal, Swachhasevak Dal and Chhatra Dal.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said in a short rally in Nayapaltan before the march, 'The neighboring countries are trying to sabotage every moment. Trying to mislead the world with lies. But there will be no profit.'
Addressing India, Rizvi said, 'We know how to use the highest equipment to keep the country safe in all directions. We have members of the military. 18 crore people of the country are ready to resist Delhi's hegemony.
In the march, the leaders and activists chanted 'Delhi not Dhaka, Dhaka-Dhaka', 'Indian aggression, stand up people', 'One nation one country, Bangladesh Bangladesh', 'Wasim-Sayed-Mugdh, the war is not over', 'No compromise on the question of freedom and sovereignty'. No', 'We have friends abroad, not God', 'Country above all, Bangladesh dear' etc. were seen displaying placards.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi along with Juba Dal President Abdul Monayem Munna and General Secretary Mohammad Nurul Islam Nayan, Volunteer Party President SM Jilani and General Secretary Rajib Ahsan, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nashir Uddin Nashir and other leaders and activists participated in this march.
