BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, 'Today, Hasina's friend GM Quader said that Awami League and Jatiya Party together have 50 percent public support for them. How do GM get the opportunity to say this? Sheikh Hasina's bloody regime, how many mothers have been left empty in that regime. There is no end to how many sisters have shed tears, how many fathers have lost their emotional balance due to the grief of their children. Those who legitimized Sheikh Hasina's brutal rule of 17 years are dictator Ershad, his brother GM Quader, Ershad's wife Roshan Ershad. What do those GMs who speak loudly today?'
Rizvi said this while criticizing Jatiya Party (Japa) chairman GM Quader's speech at a protest rally in South Basabo of the capital on Saturday afternoon. This rally was organized to demand the return of missing Sabuj Bagh Chhatra Dal leaders Sujan and Farhad.
Commenting that 'Sheikh Hasina, GM cadres were born in the laboratory of Indian intelligence', Rizvi said, 'We all know that Sheikh Hasina was born in the laboratory of India. GM cadres were born there. Roshan Ershad was born in the intelligence laboratory of India. They will say this. Even if the attack is done now, they will attack at any moment if they get a chance.'
Addressing the interim government, this BNP leader said, 'Today everyone has supported the interim government. Is your job only to sit in the mattress? Sitting in the AC room? Can you show what you have done in these four months? Why soybean oil today will be 185 to 190 taka per kg? That is why the people have supported the interim government? Awami League people are still controlling the market.'
Regarding the propaganda against Bangladesh, Rizvi said that there is continuous propaganda against Bangladesh in the neighboring countries. Bangladesh has brought Turkish drones and placed them on the border, that is a lie. A few days before that, the Republic of Bengal said that Chittagong should be claimed as a part of India. Where do they get so much courage?'
BNP health affairs secretary Rafiqul Islam, Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP convener Rafiqul Alam Majnu and others were present at this time.
