The interim government of Mohammad Yunus in Bangladesh has completed 100 days of its tenure on 16 November. In a report released by Transparency International Bangladesh on 18 November, it was said that violence against Hindus has increased under the rule of the interim government of Bangladesh. The Yunus administration has failed to stop crimes against minorities.
According to this report, between August 5 and 20, more than 2 thousand cases of crimes against minorities were reported, in which 9 minorities were killed. In these cases, the government has been negligent in identifying and punishing the criminals.
Since the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government, attacks against minorities, especially Hindus, have increased in Bangladesh. During this period, Durga Puja and other religious programs have also been targeted. In these 100 days, cultural programs and craft academies were attacked at 22 places in Bangladesh.
Due to these attacks, cultural programs and fairs also had to be banned.
Yunus is targeting political opponents
The Rights and Risk Analysis Group (RRAG) has stated in a report that the Yunus administration is not much different from the old government of Sheikh Hasina. The Yunus government has not taken any action to stop the atrocities on minorities in the country. Apart from this, the Yunus administration is using force to target its political opponents.
Yunus administration has targeted more than 2 lakh people in 1598 cases. Most of these people were political opponents of Yunus.
There have been continuous attacks on Hindus since August.
Since the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government in Bangladesh, cases of attacks on Hindus have been coming to light. Hindu temples were damaged at many places in the country. Just a few days ago, a case of treason was registered against the secretary of the ISKCON organization and 18 people in Chittagong. He was accused of hoisting the saffron flag above the national flag on the Azadi Pillar in New Market, Chittagong. 'Sanatani' was written on this flag.
After the violence in Bangladesh, former PM Sheikh Hasina came to India on 5 August. He had resigned from his post. On August 22, the interim government had also canceled the diplomatic passports of Hasina and her family members.
After this, an interim government was formed in Bangladesh on 8 August. Nobel laureate Mohammad Yunus was made the Chief Advisor of this government.
