The press release sent by the Chief Prosecutor's Office on Friday (November 15) informed that a discussion was held with the President of the People's Rights Council, Nurul Haque Noor. He withdrew his statement before the tribunal yesterday and assured full cooperation as a political party in the proceedings of the International Criminal Tribunal.
Meanwhile, Nurul Haque Noor wrote in his Facebook post, yesterday, on November 14, I am withdrawing my statement due to an unexpected situation in the information of my speech addressed to the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal, Advocate Tajul Islam. We will continue to support the proceedings of the International Tribunal to ensure justice for the genocide as the matter has been clarified in discussions with the Chief Prosecutor.
It is to be noted that in a press release sent by International Criminal Tribunal Administrative Officer Masud Rana last night, it was said that legal action will be taken against the Chief Prosecutor of International Criminal Tribunal, Mohammad Tajul Islam, if the President of the People's Rights Council, Nurul Haque Noor, does not apologize and withdraw his statement.
