He somehow escaped to Canada after submitting paper proof of marriage and took refuge in Surrey. As soon as he reached Canada, he came in contact with Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Later, Arsh Dalla had a daughter in Surrey, Canada.
From there, Dalla started committing crimes one by one across the country. During this time, Arsh's brother Baldeep Singh was also arrested. When Baldeep Singh was released on bail, he fled to Canada with his mother and never returned.
Dalla's father used to demand ransom by threatening people in Moga. According to Punjab Police records, when terrorist Arsh Dalla fled abroad and his name started appearing among the top most gangsters in the entire country, his father Charanjit Singh Gill started taking advantage of it. Charanjit Singh started extorting money from the influential people of Moga and surrounding areas.
When Punjab Police came to know about this, Charanjit Singh was arrested. After his arrest, he was sent to jail and he is currently lodged in Sangrur jail of Punjab. According to Punjab Police records, more than 70 cases are registered against Dalla across the country. Of these, the maximum number of cases are registered in Punjab, which is 50.
