After 7 days of disappearance, the body of child Muntaha was found in the drain


The body of child Muntaha Akhtar Jerin was recovered from the drain after 7 days of disappearance in Kanaighat, Sylhet. The police recovered his frozen body from a drain near the house on Saturday (November 9) at around three o'clock. At that time, the rope was wrapped around the child's neck.

The police arrested three people including Muntahar's tutor in this incident. Kanaighat police station officer-in-charge (OC) Abdul Awal confirmed the matter.

Muntaha is the daughter of Shamim Ahmad of village Birdal village of sadar union of Muntaha upazila.

Muntaha's father claims that she was abducted in a premeditated manner. He made a general diary in Kanighat police station in this incident.

On the morning of November 3, child Muntaha returned home from a local waj mahfil with his father. Later he went to play with the children in the neighboring houses. But if he did not return home in the afternoon, the search began. Then he was nowhere to be found.
