UP Madrasa Act: The Supreme Court on Tuesday declared the Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Board Act 2004 constitutional. Said that under this law it is considered the right of the government to regulate madrassas. The Madrassa Act ensures that students studying in recognized madrassas can obtain good qualifications.

The Supreme Court has overturned the Allahabad High Court's decision on the UP Madrasa Act. The Supreme Court today, on November 5, rejected the Allahabad High Court's decision to repeal the Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Education Board Act 2004. Many important comments were made by the Supreme Court while changing this decision of the High Court. The Supreme Court said that the Madrasa Act does not violate the fundamental rights of the Constitution. Nor does it violate the principles of secularism in any way. The Court said that the High Court struck down this Act without properly understanding it.
