Muhammad Fawzul Kabir Khan, Advisor to the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, said that government procurement has saved 370 crore rupees in the energy sector in the last 3 months.
He said this at the discussion meeting of Bangladesh Chamber of Industry on the energy crisis in the industrial sector at Westin Hotel in the capital on Saturday (November 23).
Fawzul Kabir Khan said, there will be no more business with the government. Benefits will be created for good traders.
He said, we should move towards renewable energy. Tenders for 40 renewable energy projects will be awarded this week.
The adviser said there is a lack of competition in the public sector. If you want to survive, you have to get out of the bribery business. There is a need to make public procurement more competitive.
