New Delhi. Department of Telecommunications launches 'Sanchar Sathi' mobile app. This will make it easier for people to report any suspected fraud directly from their mobile phone 'call logs'. Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia also launched two other initiatives of the Department of Telecommunications, the vision for National Broadband Mission 2.0 and 'Intra Circle Roaming' on 4G mobile sites funded from 'Digital India Fund'.
The 'Sanchar Sathi' platform of the Department of Telecommunications, introduced in 2023, has proven to be an effective mechanism in cracking down on fraudulent phone calls. The new app will double down on these efforts by ensuring a safe environment for customers. Launching the app, Scindia said the 'Sanchar Sathi' initiative “provides a secure environment where the privacy and security of each customer is protected.”
