Three lakhs of crime in the police in 5 years


Despite being a member of the professional forces, the members of Bangladesh Police have received about three lakh sentences in the last five years after being involved in amateur work. The number of policemen sentenced is more than two lakh. Some of them have been minimal, some have got a gurud. The Police Reform Commission, formed by the interim government, believes that only so many members of the police have been punished for behaving for behavioral changes.

The matter was mentioned in the full report of the Police Reform Commission. The Cabinet Division released the report last Saturday.

In the last 5 years, according to the rank and crime level of the accused members of Bangladesh Police, the police headquarters, and sometimes the Home Ministry have given the ministry and the minor.

According to the Police Reform Commission report, it will be difficult to operate forces with angry members. The Commission thinks that committing a crime needs to be punished. Asked about the recommendation of the Police Reform Commission, Assistant Professor of Social Welfare and Research Institute of Dhaka University and Social and Crime Researcher Dr. Touhidul Haque told today's newspaper that he did not agree with the commission's recommendation. He thinks that the behavior of the police is difficult to change only in training. This is not possible in the reality of Bangladesh. Sources in the police headquarters say the current membership of Bangladesh Police is 2 lakh 12 thousand.
