Swiggy on Monday announced the launch of a new category called Eat-Right, targeting health-conscious users in more than 50 cities. Under this initiative, healthy options like high protein, low calorie and no added sugar food will be provided at one place.
The food delivery platform has also shared some interesting facts based on its orders. According to this, India’s tier-2 cities have seen double the annual increase in orders for healthy food as compared to metros. Chandigarh, Guwahati, Ludhiana and Bhubaneswar have been at the forefront in this race.
More than 18 lakh dishes from more than two lakh restaurants will be made available through Eat-Rite. Deepak Maloo, vice president (food strategy, customer experience and new initiatives), Swiggy, said, with Eat-Rite we are offering food options that easily fit into users’ regular orders.
With clear assortment, it removes the dilemma of choice and adds healthy options to the diet. Swiggy said in the statement that its partner brands are also creating new products in view of the increasing consumer focus on health-conscious food.
