The Bangladesh Student Union has staged a rally on the anti -terrorist Raju sculpture of Dhaka University, alleging that the interim government is playing a role in turning Bangladesh into an economic colony of the United States.
The procession started from the TSC of Dhaka University on Friday (July 23) at 3 pm and ended at the Raju sculpture at VC Square, Madhur canteen. After the procession, the rally was chaired by the president of the organization Tamjid Haider Chanchal and under the general secretary Shimul Kumbhkar.
Speakers at the rally raised the two -point demand. These are – all military and civilian agreements signed with the United States have to be published and NBR Secretary Mukitul Hasan will have to be reinstated by withdrawing the case filed in the State Secrets Act.

Rathindra Nath Bappi, the central organizational secretary of the Bangladesh Student Union, said that the interim government formed after the mass uprising is making an anti -national agreement. Non-disclosure agreement, port lease, Rakhine corridor are all in the interest of the United States. It is clear that the government wants to make the country a US agenda implementation.
Asif Zaman, convenor of the Dhaka Metropolitan Student Union, said that the unequal agreement with India in the past, now the interim government is also having a similar secret with Washington. The result of betrayal with the people is not good.
Meghamala Basu, president of the Dhaka University Parliament, said that it was illegal to dismiss Mukitul Hasan through the colonial 'State Secrets Act'. He did not commit any crime, but also showed patriotism. If this government does not cancel the agreement, we will go to a greater program, including strike-blockade.
Speaking at the end of the rally, the central president of the student union Tamjid Haider Chanchal said that there is a history of many struggles against US imperialism in this country. Motiul and Quader's blood will not be allowed to go in vain. We will be on the highway in the future.
