South Korea’s Hasweng Footwear Group has decided to set up a non-making shoes and slippers in Tamil Nadu by investing Rs 1,720 crore. This will be the first such factory of the group in India.
Industry Minister TRB Raja said that this factory will be built in Tuticorin, which is expected to provide employment to 20,000 people in the region. Raja said that Chief Minister MK Stalin met Haswaseng Footwear Group officials.
Raja told on social media that this investment will be one of the biggest employment -generating footwear sector projects in Tamil Nadu. He said that new jobs will soon be prepared by investment agreements made with other companies.
