Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP, feels that Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's photo should not have been removed from Banga Bhavan.
He said, 'I think his (Sheikh Mujibur Rahman) picture should not have been taken down. Khandaker took down Mushtaq, Ziaur Rahman took it up.
Rizvi said this at the inauguration of the free medical camp at the party's central office in Nayapaltan on Tuesday morning.
Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) organized this camp on the occasion of 'National Revolution and Solidarity Day'.
Rizvi said, 'After August 15, 1975, Khandkar took down the picture of Mushtaq Sheikh Mujib. Ziaur Rahman came to power on November 7 through the sepoy revolution. But Ziaur Rahman brought Sheikh Mujib's picture back to Bangabhaban.'
Mahfuz Alam, who was recently sworn in as an advisor to the interim government, posted on his verified Facebook account on Monday that Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's photo has been removed from the Durbar Hall of the President's official residence, Bangabhavan. Mahfuz also posted a picture of himself standing in front of the picture of Sheikh Mujib
