No more downloading a separate app to scan documents. Documents can now be scanned on WhatsApp itself. Users can scan documents directly with the smartphone camera using 'Scan Document'.
Meanwhile, the feature has been added in the updated iOS 24.25.80 version of WhatsApp. As a result, initially this facility can be used only on iPhone. Gradually this feature will be launched in other operating systems as well. However, the exact date is not yet known. It is not clear when it will be launched on Android smartphones.
To scan a document, select the 'Scan' option from the WhatsApp document sharing menu and the iPhone's camera will automatically turn on. After that, if the photo of the required document is taken, it can be seen in the preview option. Users can save scanned images directly or edit them as well as send them to others.
