Mohammedan Sporting Club beat Dhaka Wanderers in their first match in Bangladesh Premier League Football (BPL). Mohammedan beat Wanderers 6-0 today at Shahid Barkat Stadium in Gazipur. Brothers Union beat Police FC 2-1 in the other match.
Suleimane Diabate, the captain of white-blacks, scored two goals on this day. Mohammedan took the lead in 5 minutes of the match. Emanuel entered the box with Boatang's through ball and sent the opposition goalkeeper into a frenzy. Mohammedan doubled the lead in 19 minutes. This time Wanderers paid the price for the goalkeeper's mistake. Receiving the ball directly outside the box, Minhajul Abedin Rakib rattled the net with a strong left-footed shot. Mohammedan got the third goal in 24 minutes. Wanderers gradually fell out of the match.

In the other match of the day, Police FC eventually lost to Brothers despite returning to parity. Munshiganj's Birshrestha Flight Lieut. Brothers took the lead in the 23rd minute of the match at Matiur Rahman Stadium. Gambian forward Maddy Sissey cleverly rattled Police FC's net with Mustafa's assist.
Police equalized in 44 minutes. Arifur Rahman's corner was headed by Manik Hossain Molla. But the brothers did not have to wait long to take the lead again.
