Andhra Pradesh: Anantapur District Superintendent of Police Ramanamurthy confirmed that all the deceased were associated with the ISKCON temple. After receiving information about the incident, the police and local administration immediately reached the spot and started relief work. According to the preliminary report received by the police, this accident occurred due to a high-speed collision between a car and a lorry. At present the police is investigating the matter.

After the identification of the deceased, a wave of mourning has spread among their families. The local community and ISKCON followers are extremely saddened by this incident. The head of ISKCON temple has condemned the incident and expressed condolences to the families of the victims. He said, “This incident is a big loss for our community. We are with the families of the victims and will do everything possible to help them.”
Accident due to car tire burst
It is being told that the tire of the car in which they were traveling burst. Due to which the driver lost control of the car and the car collided with a lorry coming from the opposite direction. The deceased have been identified as Santosh, Shanmukh, Venkanna, Sridhar, Prasanna and Venkat. Police, with the help of local people, took out the bodies from the car with the help of JCB. Due to this accident, the traffic on Anantapur-Cuddapah highway came to a complete standstill and hundreds of vehicles were stranded on both sides of the road for several kilometers. Police have registered the case and sent the bodies to GGH for post-mortem.
CM N Chandrababu Naidu expressed condolences
CM N Chandrababu Naidu has expressed grief over the horrific road accident and death of six ISKCON members. He took information about the accident from the district officials and assured them of providing all possible assistance to the bereaved families. Home Minister V Anitha also expressed grief over the accident and promised to help the bereaved family members.
