Former Member of Parliament Dhirendranath Shambhu of Barguna-1 Constituency has been arrested. Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said that he was arrested from Uttara area of the capital on Monday night.
DMP Media and Public Relations Department Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed the arrest. He said that several cases have been filed against Dhirendranath Shambhu in connection with the uprising of the students. He has been arrested in these cases and will be sent to court tomorrow on Tuesday.
