Political parties are discussing with the interim government over elections and reforms. The constitution is one of the biggest places of reform. BNP is one of the largest parties in the country. The BNP has informed the National Committee on Thursday that the objections including referendum, 5 Article, Article 5, the National Constitutional Council.
The LD of the Jatiya Sangsad was held yesterday with the BNP. Vice -President of the Commission Professor Ali Riaz and BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan spoke. After a few hours of discussion, both sides spoke to journalists. It is reported that the two sides will be in the discussion again next Sunday.
Although there are various issues of objections to the constitution, Salahuddin Ahmed, a member of the BNP standing committee, said, “I want to keep the discussion going on, the discussion will still be discussed today.” We want to explain how serious about the BNP reform. '
The dialogue begins at around 7:30 am. Speaking on the occasion, Vice -President of the National Committee, Professor Ali Riaz and BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan. Then the formal discussion started at around 8pm till 12:30 pm. After the 5 -minute break, the meeting started again till 2pm. The meeting, which began at midnight after the lunch break, ended at around 7pm.
According to the meeting, yesterday's dialogue discussed the recommendations of the Constitution Reform and the judiciary reform commission. Most issues of the Constitution are still discussed. The Commission will hold dialogue with the BNP from 9pm next Sunday. The National Commonity Commission seems to be in dialogue one more day after Sunday.
The meeting was attended by the special assistant special assistant Monir Haider of the Commission, Md. Raj Hossain, Member of the Commission, Justice Md. Emdadul Haque, Dr. Badiul Alam Majumder and Dr. Iftekhauzzaman.
In the dialogue led by BNP National Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed, a member of the party was a member of the party Nazrul Islam Khan, chairperson's adviser Ismail Jabiullah, party executive committee member Ruhul Kuddus Kajal and Abu Md. Moniruzzaman Khan.
Salahuddin Ahmed said the BNP wants to return to the Fifteenth Amendment on the principles of state management. After yesterday's dialogue, he told reporters, 'There is no secularism. There is confidence and trust in God. There is democracy, nationalism and everything as the principle of the state and the constitution. Two things. We are not in favor of pluralism, nor in favor of secularism. '
In this regard, Salahuddin added, 'We have opposed pluralism. However, equality, human dignity and social justice – the words that are mentioned in the Declaration of Independence, have been proposed in proposal and whether it can be included in the state principle. We have said that we agree in principle; But we will make a party decision and let it tell you later. '
The Constitution Reform Commission has recommended that the members of parliament be voted outside the party's decision on all matters without amending Article 5 of the Constitution. BNP disagreed with the matter.
Regarding the party's argument, Salahuddin Ahmed said, “If we open the political and social culture and practices of Bangladesh, if we open all the rest of the money except that Article, then the government will not have the stability.” There may be widespread obstacles in the management of the state. This experience is in the politics of Bangladesh and in its previous history. '
However, the BNP said the members of parliament would be able to discuss any issues and vote in Parliament, excluding money, confidence amendments bills, confidence votes and national security issues. And if there is a continuation of constitutional rule through democratic practice in the future, then more about that paragraph can be like them.
The Constitution Reform Commission has recommended a referendum before the President's approval after the passage of both Parliament in the amendment of the Constitution. The big part of the country also disagree with this.
Salahuddin said, “We have said that all amendments to the Constitution do not require referendum. Only to amend the principles of the Constitution, 1, 5 and 12, you have to go to the referendum. If we put all the amendments for the referendum, it would be unfair. '
The Reform Commission recommends the formation of the National Constitutional Council (NCC). The issue was not discussed yesterday. However, the BNP does not agree on this.
Referring to the party's argument in this regard, Salahuddin Ahmed said, “New practice. If a chapter is suddenly brought here, it will have to see if the executive department and the legislature are being weakened in other cases. In the management of the state, the time when we do not stay in Parliament or the Parliament is broken, the commission can do something else by being very empowered. We have thought of these. However, this issue has the opportunity to discuss the next elected parliament. '
Asked how the Constitution Reform Commission agreed, how would it be implemented – Salahuddin Ahmed said, “The job of the National consensus commission is to establish a national consensus by discussing with all.” The issues that have been agreed will be combined and asked the parties to sign the report. It will be understood that they will call it a certificate, or what to say, they will decide.
After dialogue with the BNP, Vice -President of the National consensus commission, Professor Ali Riaz, said, “Our goal is to create a national certificate; So that I can establish a permanent democratic system in Bangladesh. '
Ali Riyaz has repeatedly stabbed democracy in the country, saying, “We are repeatedly seeing that democracy has been stumbled in this country, it is not that individualistic autocracy was established in this country.” We want them to happen in the future. This is an attempt to institutionalize those places. '
